Philip has been teaching music for 20 years and has taught thousands of students.

Between his work teaching with Quincy Jones’ piano app Playground Sessions and before that, HDpiano, Philip has connected with millions online, including a young Billie Eilish and a not-as-young Jimmy Fallon.

He earned his Bachelor’s in Jazz Piano Performance, his Master’s in Classical Piano Performance and is a member of the Steinway Teacher & Educational Partner (STEP) Program.

Philip’s unique approach to music instruction fuses elements of mindfulness meditation and pure improvisation, encouraging students to walk the path towards mastery with a spirit of gentleness, precision, and letting go.
